The Members of the Badge and Gavel Society Of New York extend our heartfelt sympathies to the individuals, friends and families affected by our National Tragedy
Thomas Cusanelli, Treasurer |
The Badge and Gavel Society of New York is a not-for-profit corporation, and an affiliate of The Badge & Gavel Society, Inc. The Society and its chapters are a national organization comprised of current and former law enforcement officers who are lawyers.
One of the society's missions is to assist law enforcement officers interested in legal careers. We do so by mentoring. We answer questions about law schools, courses, instructors, fields of practice, law school survival and, finally, passing the Bar.
We provide financial assistance to police-law student members. The BADGE & GAVEL Scholarship Award is offered several times a year. We also enjoy networking with other current and former law enforcement officers who are lawyers, not only in New York, but nationally.
Each state affiliate provides its members with a statewide membership directory. The Florida affiliate, which is the national organization, will produce a national directory for purposes of networking and referrals.
Student Membership is open to all current and former law enforcement officers presently attending a New York State law school. Student members pay no dues, receive our directory and are non-voting members at meetings.
Associate Membership is open to anyone interested in our organization, whether a lawyer, law enforcement officer or not. Associate Members pay reduced dues, receive our directory and are non-voting members at meetings.
The next meeting will be held at: T.B.A. For further information, contact the webmaster.
Please pass this information along to anyone who might be interested in joining.
